Consultant
With a career spanning more than 25 years, I have developed extensive expertise within the Health & Social Care sector, working across both private enterprises and local authorities.
As a registered manager in both residential and nursing home environments, granting me a unique, nuanced understanding of the complexities and daily challenges these settings face.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I played a central role in commissioning 2 units for the local authority. Overseeing everything from resource mobilisation, staff training to setting up infection control measures. As the Registered Manager, my responsibilities included ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining care standards.
For the past five years, I have channelled this expertise into supporting and revitalising underperforming or struggling care settings as a dedicated care consultant. My consultancy work has focused on driving sustainable improvements, particularly around compliance with CQC (Care Quality Commission) regulations. I have successfully guided numerous services through embargos, Notices of Proposal (NOPs), and Notices of Decision (NODs), enabling them to achieve and maintain good regulatory ratings.
A core element of my practice is partnering with committed providers who are passionate about not just maintaining good standards but aspiring to deliver outstanding care.
I offer strategic guidance, practical tools, and tailored support to empower teams at every level. My approach is collaborative and values-driven, ensuring that every intervention is aligned with the provider’s vision and the needs of those they care for.
My consultancy blends virtual and face-to-face engagement, delivering flexible, responsive support to meet the priorities of each setting. I facilitate thorough, impartial quality inspections followed by comprehensive reports, which always include detailed feedback and constructive guidance for ongoing improvement.
