This policy outlines the professional and ethical standards expected of all individuals accredited by the Care Consultant Accreditation Framework (C-CAF). The purpose is to ensure that all C-CAF consultants maintain integrity, impartiality, and professionalism in all services delivered under the framework.
This policy applies to all consultants, assessors, trainers, and advisors accredited or authorised by C-CAF, regardless of the nature of the services provided.
All accredited individuals must adhere to the following principles at all times:
Act honestly and ethically in all professional interactions.
Uphold the reputation of C-CAF and demonstrate trustworthiness at all times.
Avoid misrepresentation of qualifications, services, or outcomes.
Provide services and advice free from bias or undue influence.
Avoid any situation where personal, financial, or professional interests may conflict with C-CAF responsibilities.
Declare any actual or potential conflicts of interest in line with the C-CAF Conflict of Interest Policy.
Respect the confidentiality of all information obtained through professional activities.
Protect personal, sensitive, or proprietary information and only share it with appropriate authorisation.
Comply with applicable data protection laws and C-CAF’s confidentiality standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge, skills, and understanding relevant to your role.
Deliver work with due care, accuracy, and diligence.
Engage in ongoing professional development as required by C-CAF.
Treat all individuals with dignity, courtesy, and respect.
Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all engagements.
Avoid discriminatory behaviour and maintain professional boundaries.
Accept responsibility for professional decisions and conduct.
Cooperate with any C-CAF review, audit, or investigation.
Report any unethical conduct, safeguarding concerns, or inappropriate practices encountered during C-CAF-related work.
Breaches of this Code may result in:
Formal warnings or remedial actions
Suspension or removal from the C-CAF register of accredited professionals
Referral to relevant third parties, where appropriate
This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if required, to ensure it reflects current best practices, legislation, and the values of C-CAF.
