Allesley, United Kingdom
Consultant
I am an experienced safeguarding and patient safety consultant with over 10 years of leadership and frontline experience in healthcare. My background spans operational management, safeguarding investigations, service improvement, and regulatory compliance. With a BSc in Psychology and advanced qualifications including Level 5 Safeguarding, Leadership and Management, and QSIR Practitioner status, I bring a strong combination of academic insight and hands-on expertise.
I’m proud to have been nationally recognised for my work in reducing restrictive practices, having achieved second place in a national research initiative with the East Midlands Collaborative Group. This work has led to safer, more therapeutic environments and tangible improvements in patient care.
One of my most rewarding achievements has been designing and launching a safeguarding and patient safety accreditation programme, which has helped raise standards across services by embedding a clear framework for best practice, assurance, and learning. The accreditation model champions trauma-informed care, service user voice, and integrated safeguarding strategies.
As the nominated individual for coroners’ investigations, I lead on complex case reviews, oversee the implementation of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), and contribute to governance at Board level. I also regularly carry out mock inspections and audits across care homes, hospitals, and community services to identify risks, support service improvement, and ensure compliance with national standards.
My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and grounded in a passion for continuous improvement. I thrive on supporting services to strengthen their safeguarding and patient safety culture, delivering tailored consultancy, training, and strategic planning to create meaningful, lasting change.
