Consultant
For the past eighteen years I have been working for smaller or corporate social and healthcare providers completing CQC simulated inspections. These inspections could be completed as part of the companies KPI and good governance process, due to risks being identified through audit process or expectations of a pending stakeholder visit such as CQC, ICB, Council. Service action plans would be introduced and reviewed weekly or monthly to ensure improvements were made and processes embedded within service.
When risks were identified within a service then other services within my portfolio would be contacted to ensure lessons learnt process.
The services I have covered are Mental Health hospitals, Mental Health nursing or residential, learning disabilities, supported living and domiciliary care services, these have been in England, Scotland and Wales, therefore, I have in depth experience within the Health and Social Care sector.
In the past I have assisted services who have received CQC enforcement notices or regulatory breaches to ensure improvements were completed.
I have assisted services to move from inadequate rating or requires improvement rating to good. This was completed by implementing good quality and compliance procedures, along with risk management procedures, and making risk-based decisions, whilst ensuring that evidence was embedded in practice.
Together with quality and compliance procedures I also complete face to face training sessions for staff and management.
My passion and drive comes from seeing all levels of team members after weeks / months of hard work receiving a good, positive report from regulators.
This can happen in your service with excellent communication and solid team working.
