About the consultant

Having worked within the independent sector as a senior nurse for a number of years I am a highly experienced clinical manager who has consistently delivered in demanding service and operational environments.
Having held the position of Director of Clinical Services in several hospitals I was responsible for multiple clinical departments and clinical staff ensuring services were safe and effective through clinical governance, quality assurance and improvement.
With a key role in providing leadership and assurance to staff, consultant colleagues and the regulator I ensured that all outcomes and feedback was used to enhance and improve the care services provided with a focus on continuous improvement.
With a passion for improving quality of care and services moving to national lead for Quality Improvement enabled me to work with diverse groups of staff to identify areas for improvement and using a standardised methodology implement and test these changes in practice. Working with staff in clinical settings and developing their skills ensured that I remain in touch with practice and use this to ensure improvements are relevant and appropriate.
