Doriann Bailey is committed to ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led healthcare services. As a Senior Healthcare professional with over 35 years of clinical (RGN & RM) and managerial experience, she has held Director-level roles and practised as a registered practitioner across diverse organisations including Health and Social Care, Primary Care, Dental Services, the Private Sector, and the NHS.
Doriann is recognised for her collaborative approach and adaptability, demonstrating the ability to work independently and autonomously. She possesses extensive skills in managing and mentoring staff, and excels at handling substantial caseloads through effective prioritisation. Her areas of expertise include quality control, governance, and regulatory compliance with CQC procedures. With strong critical thinking abilities and a pragmatic approach, she consistently meets deadlines within fast-paced, highly regulated, and politically sensitive healthcare environments.
She has successfully registered 2 healthcare services, one of which achieved a 'Good' CQC rating following its first inspection. Doriann has played a key role in supporting services subject to warning notices and Notices of Proposal (NOPs), coordinating responses and implementing action plans to achieve turnaround and regulatory compliance.
Her leadership background includes serving as Nominated Individual (NI) for Supported Living and Mental Health services. She has delivered CQC training nationwide after the implementation of the Single Assessment Framework (SAF) to a broad spectrum of healthcare providers and regularly conducts mock inspections to provide teams with training and mentorship.
Additionally, Doriann prepares Registered Managers and NIs for their CQC registration interviews, maintaining a success rate of over 95%. For more than a decade, she has served as a CQC Specialist Advisor (SPa), contributing to strategic governance during CQC inspections.
