About the consultant

Mariana Costea is an experienced Care Quality and Compliance Consultant with over 16 years in adult health and social care, specialising in CQC regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, inspection readiness, turnaround support and executive mentoring.
A former Registered Manager and Regional Clinical Leader, she now provides independent consultancy through Mareric Ltd, delivering mock inspections, action planning, PIR preparation, leadership coaching and urgent service stabilisation for providers across the UK.
Mariana has a strong track record in improving compliance, embedding governance systems, supporting failing services, and developing registered managers under regulatory pressure. She works closely with providers, nominated individuals and local authorities to ensure safe, well-led, person-centred services aligned to the CQC Single Assessment Framework and Fundamental Standards.
