About the consultant

I am a distinguished Care Home Consultant and Registered Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in UK healthcare management. I began my career unusually early, becoming the UK’s youngest care manager at 18, and have since built a strong reputation for turning around struggling services and raising standards of care.

One of my key achievements was leading the successful transformation of a failing care home in Chester, improving its CQC rating from “inadequate” to “good.” I take an innovative and holistic approach to dementia care, integrating therapies such as pet therapy, reflexology, and massage to enhance residents’ quality of life and overall well-being.

I have held senior roles overseeing the regional operations of multiple care homes, giving me deep insight into care home governance, compliance, and day-to-day operational management. I work closely with commissioners and stakeholders to drive sustainable performance improvements and ensure safe, effective, and person-centred care.

Through my consultancy, I offer a comprehensive range of services including mock inspections, targeted audits, and detailed evaluations. What sets my work apart is my hands-on support: I do not just highlight areas for improvement, I partner with you to resolve them—developing tools, writing and reviewing care plans, and designing and implementing robust governance systems, all tailored to the specific needs of your service.
