South East,
Consultant
Throughout my career, I have been motivated by a strong commitment to compassionate, high-quality care and a belief that good governance and assurance should always serve people, not processes. I am a registered nurse by background and have spent over 20 years working across health and social care, largely in senior quality, governance, and clinical assurance roles.
I have held national and regional positions within large, award winning care providers, supporting services to deliver safe, person-centred care while meeting regulatory expectations in a way that is meaningful, proportionate, and grounded in everyday practice. Most recently, I work as a Quality Assessor with Welltower, providing independent oversight and assurance across care services, identifying both strengths and risks, and supporting teams to translate findings into practical, sustainable improvements.
Previously, I worked at Aria Care as a Quality Support Manager, leading strategic projects including audit framework development, Mental Capacity Act improvement work, and supporting teams to understand and embed the CQC Single Assessment Framework. Before this, I spent over six years at Care UK in a range of senior quality and governance roles, including Governance Manager and Infection Prevention and Control Lead during the COVID-19 pandemic. Across these roles, I supported services through complex and challenging situations, strengthening systems while maintaining morale, compassion, and a focus on people.
At the heart of my practice is a consistent focus on people — residents, families, colleagues, and leaders. I am known for building trust, acting as a ‘critical friend,’ and supporting improvement without losing sight of the human impact of change. I am comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels and working collaboratively with regulators, senior stakeholders, and frontline teams.
