About the consultant

I have work in health and social care for over 23 years, starting as a care assistant, supporting people with learning disabilities. I qualified and registered as a nurse in 2008 and then spent some time in the NHS- mostly intensive care medicine, where I completed a degree in an acute care. I moved into social care 11+ years ago and have worked for and with both small, midsized and large award wining providers- in various quality and governance roles.

I have a wide ranging experience, from MOCK inspections, to colleague workshops, data and clinical governance, audits, system development and implementation and anything in between. But my real passion is people- I love seeing the light bulb moments for colleagues, or the lasting positive impact on residents with dementia, when care and engagement is excellent.

My aim as a consultant is to serve providers, homes, staff teams and most importantly, residents, well. If I am not the right fit I will always help you to find someone that is!

If you are mostly interested in achieving a Good CQC rating I might not be right for you- but if you want to deliver outstanding care and quality, want someone who will be invested and think outside the box- then that might just be me!
