North West,
Consultant
My career journey so far has been very diverse and fulfilling, starting in the fast-food industry where I discovered my passion for learning, training, and development. Over the past decade, I've transitioned into the Health & Social Care sector, taking on roles ranging from Care Assistant, Care Supervisor to Training Manager. These experiences have equipped me with a unique blend of transferable skills in training, leadership, and management.
I began working in the hospitality sector aged 16 years and quickly grew to excel in this role developing a deep passion for training and building skills and confidence in other individuals. My role in hospitality provided me with the opportunity to visit other stores under multiple brands, providing support, guidance and training before my store eventually became a Centre of Excellence, which meant new starts in the company were inducted for 12 weeks at my store, under my supervision.
My role in health and social care began in early 2020, where I quickly became hungry and passionate to deliver high standard, person-centred care and treatment at nursing homes- but, more so, share and reflect these standards with my team. I worked hard and used tools and resources available to me to progress with my career, before joining Vita Training & Development to become a Registered Trainer.
During my time at Vita, I have built strong relationships through partnership and collaboration with many services, providing training in many subjects, individualised to their service to best suit the provider and the team. My skills have enabled me to deliver training specifically in digital systems, moving and handling, leadership and management programmes, and dementia care. However, I continue to grow my knowledge through commitment and dedication to providing high standard quality care in this industry.
