About the consultant

I am a clinically trained pharmacist with over a decade of experience in healthcare and significant senior leadership experience within the adult social care sector. Having experience as a care home owner, director, and nominated individual for a CQC-regulated service, I bring a comprehensive understanding of the governance, regulatory, and operational responsibilities required to deliver safe, high-quality care.

I have extensive experience overseeing residential and dementia care services for older people, with particular expertise in service leadership, regulatory compliance, safeguarding, quality improvement, and building effective governance frameworks. My work has involved leading multidisciplinary teams, supporting managers to strengthen service performance, and ensuring organisations meet and maintain CQC standards.

Having operated services at board and operational level, I understand the real-world challenges providers face — from workforce pressures to regulatory scrutiny — and I bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to supporting improvement. My clinical background also provides an additional layer of insight into risk management, resident safety, and integrated healthcare working within care settings.

I am passionate about supporting care providers to build resilient, well-led services where strong leadership, clear governance, and a positive culture enable teams to deliver compassionate, person-centred care.
