I have had a long career in adult social care; I started work in care back in 1989 as a care
worker and worked through many roles gaining experience and sharing this experience
across teams I have worked with. I have had several roles working as a registered
manager, area manager, and currently as a locality manager for Skills for Care, employed
by Skills for Care as Locality Manager in London and SE.
I have experience of leading, developing and delivering key work streams activity and
projects to inform the strategic development of the adult social care workforce within a
designated locality, supporting social care employers to develop a skilled and competent
workforce. My work with Skills for Care has allowed me to build relationships with employers and key partners to progress social care development in line with national policy drivers. I have vast experience of working with employers to encourage the transfer of good practice and innovative ideas with employers and partners based in the locality around all matters that support social care development.
I have managed and delivered a number of significant projects working with Registered
Managers around managing staff performance and quality matters within their service. I am now enjoying working free lance carrying out mock CQC audits, compliance audits, supporting Registered Managers to work towards that outstanding rating. I have worked with a number of employers who have received a Requires Improvement / Inadequate rating, helping them to action plan and work their way back to an improved rating.
