Midlands,
Consultant
I bring over 15 years of experience in adult social care, with deep expertise in quality, compliance, and regulatory assurance. My background is rooted in a genuine passion for supporting people with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions, and a belief that outstanding care is built through strong cultures, empowered teams, and systems that actually work in practice.
I work with care providers who want honest insight and practical support — someone who can help them make sense of what's happening in their service and what needs to change. My style is straightforward and collaborative. I help teams understand what's working, what needs attention, and how to move forward with confidence rather than feel overwhelmed by regulation.
I'm equally comfortable carrying out a full mock inspection, leading a deep dive audit, or sitting with a Registered Manager to work through an action plan. Whatever the task, I focus on what will genuinely make a difference for the people being supported and the teams around them.
Having held senior quality roles across some of the UK's largest care organisations, I understand the real pressures services face — regulatory expectations, staffing challenges, complex needs, and the day-to-day realities of running busy services. I'm experienced in stepping into difficult situations, including turnaround work with services rated Inadequate/Requires Improvement, bringing calm, clarity, and a clear path forward.
What I can offer providers:
Over 15 years of quality and compliance expertise across CQC and CIW
Specialist knowledge of autism, learning disabilities, and mental health services
A calm, practical approach that builds trust with teams quickly
Honest, clear feedback that is actionable and free from jargon
Turnaround and improvement support that feels collaborative, not judgemental
