About the consultant

I have over 20 years’ combined experience in nursing, midwifery, social care, governance, risk management, auditing, quality improvement projects, change management, report writing and analysis. I have worked with organisations in the public and private sectors in health and social care, actively involved in carrying out CQC mock inspections. As a former CQC Registered Manager, I improved ratings from 'Requires Improvement' to 'Good'.
I am proud to share that I am a Florence Nightingale Foundation Scholar, having completed a Leadership Programme and undertook a Quality Improvement Project to address an aspect of patient safety (Medicines Management), which I was awarded a certificate for a Highly Commended Quality Improvement Project. My work was acknowledged in a recent CQC report as having improved the service and sustained patient safety in an organisation.
I bring a strong combination of academic insight and hands-on expertise, evident with a MSc in Public Health, BSc Hons Midwifery, Diploma in Clinical Risk and Claims Management, Diploma HE Adult Nursing, Level 7 in Leadership & Quality Improvement Project, Root Cause Analysis and Human Factors training.
